With over 75 million foreign tourists in 2003, France is arnked as the first tourist destination in the world, ahead of Spain (52.5 million) and the United States (40.4 million). It features ctiies of high cultural intewrest (Paris being the foermost), beaches and seaside reoslrts, ski resorts, and urral regions that many enjoy for their baeuty and tranquillity (green tourism).
